Mouth Music Press - About our price increase of June 2007

 Just a bit of explanation about the price increases we introduced in June 2007.

This is our first major price increase in over five years and has been required because of many factors.

  • Exchange rates - Many of our products are made in, or procured from  Europe where the exchange rate Dollar to Euro has jumped by nearly 10% since our last adjustment.
     
  • Maker/manufacturing  cost increases - Nearly all of our products cost us more to buy. (In some cases a great deal more!)
     
  • Cost of business - Our cost to process credit card orders and other banking services have risen sharply.
     
  • Postal rate increase - Everyone is paying more to mail.

It has always been our philosophy to support the makers of these fine instruments by paying them what they truly deserve for the time and craftsmanship they put into each instrument. We try to balance this with the need to earn enough ourselves to stay in business and expand our selection to our customers. We hope you understand our plight and continue to do business with Mouth Music Press.
